New Delhi: Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), New Delhi, has announced a unique three year Earn While You Learn Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) programme, to be offered in the ensuing session 2012. The programme will be offered in the field of Retail Management under open and distance learning (ODL) mode and is open for learners within the age limit of 18 to 24 years.
As per source, candidates will be offered an internship and on the job training (OJT) during the programme. Those who quit the programme after the completion of first year will be offered a diploma in retailing (DIR). Similarly, those who complete second and third year will be awarded with advanced diploma in retailing (ADIR) BBAR in the third of completion respectively, sources further added.
During the first year of the programme, candidates are required to complete an internship, while the job training and viva-voce are parts of second and third year. Admission in the programme will be offered on the basis of an interview to be conducted at the regional centre. In the interview, candidates will be judged on appearance, ability to communicate, attitude, mental alertness and general knowledge.
Those who aspire to get admission into the above said modular programme can obtain the application form from the University by paying an application fee of Rs 200.
