Hazratbal: University of Kashmir, also known as Kashmir University, Srinagar, has extended the last date for form submission of on-line entrance test till February 29, 2012. Earlier the last date of submission of online application and the hard copy of online application form was today i.e. February 24, 2012. The entrance test(s) will be conducted by the University, in order to select eligible candidates for admission into various Post Graduate, Diploma and Certificate courses, to be offered in the upcoming session 2012.
As per the notification issued by the University, the entrance examination(s) will commence from March 8, 2012 for which the date sheet / schedule would be issued separately. Therefore, candidates who want to apply for the same are required to fill in online application form made available on University's official website: http://www.kashmiruniversity.net/. However, they also need to purchase the prospectus 2012 bearing a distinct serial number on front inner cover, against a payment of Rs 250, from the sales counters / IT centres of the University (list of the centers is given in the website).
In addition, candidates must follow the guidelines given in the prospectus while filling in the online application form. The entrance test fee of Rs 245 per course (plus Rs 10 bank charges) against the pay-in-slip (generated with the online application form) should be remitted in any of the branches of J&K bank Ltd. across the country. After submitting the online application form, candidates must download/take printout of the submitted form. The hardcopy/printout of the completed application form along with the requisite documents (list given in the website) should be submitted latest by the last date (extended) i.e. February 29, 2012.
