Calcutta University Notifies PhD Programme in Department of Sanskrit

Calcutta University has invited applications from highly qualified candidates for admission into Doctorate of Philosophy (PhD) programme of Department of Sanskrit, to be offered in the ensuing session 2013. Selection of the candidates will be made on the basis of their performance in written test, followed by personal interview, to be conducted on the following dates.
 
Note: Candidates who have already passed UGC NET / SET or any other examination equivalent thereto or possess M Phil degree are exempted from appearing in the written test but they have to appear in interview.
 
Date of Exam
Written test is scheduled to be held on April 9, 2013
Interview of the selected candidates will be conducted between April 29 and April 30, 2013.

How to Apply
Interested candidates may obtain the prescribed proforma by paying the application fee of Rs 100 through a Challan obtainable from Cash Counter of College Street Campus, Calcutta University. The duly filled-in application form complete in all respects (as per the guidelines) should be submitted at the Department of Sanskrit, Calcutta University, 87 / 1 College Street Campus, 2nd floor of Hardinge Building, Kolkata (West Bengal) - 700073, latest by March 25, 2013.
