Rajasthan University Extends Last Date for Admissions

Rajasthan University has again extended the last date of admission to students in second and third years till September 7th, 2013 as the University is yet to declare forty results.

Classes would not start before the end of September, which will adversely affect the semester system. The semester system is very tight and planned on everyday basis. To cover the lost days, the teachers will run fast compromising with the quality of education which will ultimately affect the students, said a teacher of University

The University has announced the date of enrollments into PHD programmes starting from August 29 till September. Students can also submit online application forms. September 12 is the last date without late fees and September 17 is the last date with late fees.

University of Rajasthan is the oldest university in the Rajasthan. Located at Jaipur, it was set up in January 1947 as the University of Rajputana with the objective of spreading knowledge among the students of Rajasthan. The University of Rajasthan has six constituent colleges, eleven recognised research centres, 37 postgraduate departments and 305 affiliated colleges. The University offers 37 Ph.D. programs, 20 M.Phil courses, 48 Master's degree courses and 14 Bachelor degree courses.

The campus is spread over 285.50 acres and the satellite campus, comprising the constituent colleges, is spread over 149.53 acres. The University has been accredited A+ by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).
