IGNOU to Offer Two New French Language Courses

 

 

New Delhi: Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), Embassy of France and Universite Stendhal - Grenoble3 have collaborated in order to start two new courses in French language. The two new academic programmes being mentioned include Certificat d'Enseignement de Français Langue Etrangere (CEFLE) and Diplome d'Enseignement de Francais Langue Etrangere (DEFLE).
 
In addition, they have also decided to bring French as a Methodology Course in the B Ed programme of IGNOU. According to the statement of an official, enhancement of knowledge, skills, attitude and knowledge among the students in the field of French language, literature and culture studies will also be taken care under the collaboration. He has also said that these programmes will be conducted under IGNOU's open distance learning augmented face-to-face learning and teaching mode.

As per sources, the French embassy will fund the orientation programme for the course writers for developing the self-learning materials, which will be organized by IGNOU.
