IGNOU To Organize Training on Computer Based Statistical Programme

New Delhi: North East Centre for Research & Development (NECRD), Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) is going to organize training on Computer Based Statistical Programme (SPSS) from February 7-11, 2011. The training will be organized in Guwahati.
 
The training programme is being organized for young researchers (research scholars and college/University teachers) of the North East. The candidates, who are selected according to first come first serve basis, will be informed by the University in the first week of December. Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) was established in 1985 through an Act of the Parliament of India. The university has been named after the ex-Prime Minister of India, Late Smt Indira Gandhi. The university has been ranked as the world's largest university. The prime objective of the university is to offer higher education in various disciplines through distance learning mode.
 
IGNOU offers certificate, Postgraduate (PG) certificate, diploma, PG diploma, advanced diploma, Bachelor's, Master's and Doctoral programmes in numerous disciplines. IGNOU emphasizes on standardizing the teaching, evaluation and research system and the allocation of grants to various distance education institutions in the country.
