DU SOL Introduces Online Application for Admission 2012

New Delhi: Delhi University School of Open Learning, popularly known as DU SOL, has introduced online applications from the academic session 2012-13. The online application forms have been made available from June 1, 2012.
 
As per sources, DU SOL will carry out admissions through online mode for its bachelor courses, which include Bachelor of Arts (BA) (Honors) English, Political Science, BA programme, Bachelor of Commerce (B Com) and B Com (Honors). In addition, it will extend its online admission system so as to make it easier and convenient for second and third-year students.
 
HC Pokhriyal, Executive director, SOL, informed that most applicants come from far-off areas of the country. As such, the inclusion of online application procedure will be of great help to such candidates. He further added that the online admission procedure will also cut the rush at SOL counters during admission season.
 
Candidates willing to apply through online mode can download the application form from the official website of DU SOL: http://www.sol.du.ac.in/. Online applications will continue will July 31, 2012. However, after the stipulated last date, candidates can apply with a late fee of Rs 200. Further, applications with late fee will be accepted from August 1, 2012 to September 14, 2012.
 
The online application mode will serve as an excellent gateway for candidates from National Institute of Open School (NIOS) and those appeared in Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) as they will not be required to submit any documents for while applying through online. Instead, they only have to enter their roll number while all other details related to CBSE result will be automatically uploaded.
 
Furthermore, Pokhriyal said that candidates have avail the facility of uploading their photograph, signature and other details online for completing the application process, while the remaining information will be accessed by SOL through CBSE’s website.
