New Delhi: Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), in association with Bharti Learning Systems Limited (BLS), has initiated a new sphere in management studies, 'MBA Management Practices'. It is an outcome of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed in March 2009 by IGNOU and BLS for five years, renewable under certain terms laid down by IGNOU.
The programme is designed to meet the present day market demand and targets both new age students and employed professionals. It is an apt choice for those who wish to enhance their career prospects by acquiring an MBA degree that will equip them in cutting-edge vocational skills. The programme is offered with specialization in six professional areas like Telecommunication, Sales & Marketing, Human Resources (HR), Insurance, Retail and Banking.
During the four-semester schedule, the programme guarantees Certificate, Diploma and PG Diploma to a student after completion of the first three semesters respectively, before the fourth, which will lead to the MBA - Management Practices degree. Student with a Bachelor’s degree from a UGC recognized University is considered eligible to join the programme. As per the plans, BLS has decided to offer the programme through Centum Learning centres spread across 71 cities in the country.
