BITS Pilani Alumni Visit the Institute to Celebrate The Golden Jubilee of Their Graduation

Pilani: Birla Institute of Technology & Science (BITS) Pilani former students visited the institute in order to celebrate the Golden Jubilee year of their graduation. As per sources, 25 alumni members and their spouses made a three-day visit to the institute. The alumni members were from the 1955-1960 batch of BITS, Pilani, sources added.
 
Further, sources told that the alumni members visited the institute from November 10, 2010 to November 12, 2010. In a three day visit to the institute, the former students went round the campus, visited the classrooms and hostel rooms. In addition, the group of former students took pictures and had food in the hostel mess.
 
As per sources, the alumni members include retired CEOs, academics, scientists, entrepreneurs, consultants and civil society leaders. Mr. Satish Bahadur, spokesman of the 1955-1960 batch, said that the five years they spent at the institute was the best part of their life. In addition, he said that it is indeed wonderful to come back to the alma mater and have refreshing memories along with their old friends.
 
In the three-day visit, the former students not only recalled their memories, but also gave an open talk on November 11, 2010. The open talk was for the benefit of the present students. The alumni members shared their experiences in the area of IT, Energy and power sector, Business startup, Process industry, Management and education in the US. In addition, the alumni members have offered their services to the institute in whatever way they can.
