New Delhi: The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has started admissions to Bachelor of Education (B Ed) and Master of Education (M Ed) programmes in special education. As per sources, the B Ed and M Ed programmes are being offered in Hearing Impairment, Learning Disability and Mental Retardation. In addition, M Ed programme will also be offered in Visual Impairment.
An IGNOU Spokesperson said that the selection in both the courses will be done on the basis of an entrance test and weightage as applicable. As per sources, the reservation policy will be applicable as per Government of India rules. Medium of instruction will be English and there is no age bar for any of the programmes, sources added.
