St Stephen's College Faces Academic Stagnation: Sibal

New Delhi: The Human Resource Development (HRD) Minister Kapil Sibal has showed great regret and concern over the academic stagnation of St. Stephen's College, while addressing the passing out batch of the institute at the college's Dismissal Service. He considered the issue as a great concern for national development.

Sibal said that a career graph of a student moving upward initiating from Bachelor’s course, followed by Master’s and then reaching to research is quiet crucial for the development of a nation. Feeling sorry about the situation, he added that St. Stephen’s College has not witnessed such scenario from the past 60 years.

Sibal, who himself is an alumnus of the college, also urged parents to allow the children to explore their area of interest and chase their career goals and ambitions.

St. Stephen’s College, established in 1881, is one of the oldest and leading institutes of the country, which offers education through various courses.
