University of Calcutta, popularly known as Calcutta University, Department of Computer Science & Engineering, Kolkata (West Bengal), has invited applications for admissions into the following Doctorate of Philosophy (PhD) programmes, to be offered in the ensuing session 2011. Admissions will be made on the basis of a written test followed by an interview. UGC /CSIR (JRF) Examinations/ NET/SET/SLET/GATE/Teacher Fellowship qualified candidates are exempted form the test.

Interested candidates can download the application form from the university's official website: http://www.caluniv.ac.in/. Candidates applying for any of the aforesaid programmes will have to pay Rs 100 through a challan available at various cash counters of the university. The duly filled application form along with a copy of the paid challan should be submitted in the office of the department on or before the last date mentioned below.
