The delay in the Delhi University’s (DUs) BA results is leading to student’s battle the administrative complications of other universities. Those students who have applied to Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) University may find their admissions to be cancelled because of the delay to deliver results on time.
As per sources, DU is likely to declare the final-year results for courses like BA (Programme) in August, which exceeds the JMI’s July 29 deadline to submit marksheets. Moreover, the DU has refused to shoulder any responsibility for the delay in results. Instead, the onus of the problem has been put on the students.
Besides, Jamia has refused to make an exception for these students, as applicants to the university with a same kind of problem are few and far between. Simi Malhotra, media coordinator, JMI, said that the University had extended the deadline once. It cannot keep extending dates for a few students like this. She also mentioned that most universities are accommodating and provides a confidential marksheet well in time.
