New Delhi: The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) introduces a new course, namely, Certificate Programme in Value Education (CPVE) for teachers, NGOs, and professionals.
The announcement regarding the launch of the programme was made by the University on Tuesday, i.e. on September 28, 2011. Besides, as per the University, the newly launched programme will be offered from session January 2012, through the distance learning mode. As per a statement issued by the University, the programme has been designed with the aim of inculcating the importance of value education in the teaching-learning process among teachers, graduates, NGOs, and professionals.
Silima Nanda, the programme coordinator, said that the target group for the course is teachers (mostly elementary) in order to integrate values in their transactional process of teaching and learning.
