University of Calcutta, also known as Calcutta University, Kolkata, West Bengal, has invited applications from eligible candidates for admission into (one year) Advanced Diploma in Bioinformatics programme, to be offered at the University’s Department of Biophysics, Molecular Biology and Bioinformatics in the ensuing session 2012-13. Admission will be offered on the basis of entrance test merit, to be conducted by the University on the below mentioned date.
Note: The University will provide consolidated stipend of Rs 3000 (per month) to some of the selected candidates. In addition, those who have already qualified NET/GATE before the admission would receive a consolidated stipend Rs 5000 (per month).

July 30, 2012 (from 12.00 pm to 1.00 pm)
Note: The entrance test will comprise questions from Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology and Computer Literacy (pertaining to 12th standard).
