Department of Political Science, Calcutta University, Kolkata, West Bengal, has invited applications from eligible candidates for admission into PhD (Doctorate of Philosophy) programme in Political Science, to be offered in the upcoming session 2012-13. The admission will be made on the basis of an admission test (of one hour duration), followed by interview of the selected candidates conducted by the University.
Note: Candidates, who have qualified in NET / SET / M Phil exam, are exempted from appearing in the admission test, but they have to appear for the interview.

How to Apply
Interested candidates can download the application form for the admission test and interview, from the University’s website: http://www.caluniv.ac.in/. The application fee is Rs 100 which is to be paid in the proper Challan obtainable from the University cash counter to the Department. The duly filled-in application form along with Challan should be submitted latest by January 18, 2013. For more details regarding admission and application procedure, candidates are requested to visit the University’s aforementioned official website.
