Department of Arabic & Persian, University of Calcutta, also known as Calcutta University, has invited applications from eligible candidates for admission into PhD (Doctorate of Philosophy) in Arabic & Persian, to be offered in the upcoming session 2012. The selection will be made on the basis of candidate’s performance in the written entrance exam and interview, to be conducted by the University.

How to Apply
Interested candidates are required to download the prescribed application form from the University's official website: http://www.caluniv.ac.in/. The application fee is Rs 100 which is to be paid through Challan. The duly filled in and completed application form along with all requisite enclosure documents [one-page research proposal and copies of MA mark-sheet and NET / SET / M Phil, certificate (if applicable)] should be submitted to the Office of the HOD, Department of Arabic & Persian, University of Calcutta, 87/1, College Street, Kolkata - 73 (WB), India, latest by January 31, 2013.
