University of Calcutta, Kolkata, West Bengal, has invited applications from eligible candidates for admission into PhD (Doctorate of Philosophy) programme in the Department of Zoology, to be offered in the upcoming session 2013. Admissions will be made on the basis of candidates’ performance in the entrance test, followed by an interview, to be conducted by the University department. Selected candidates will be placed under the Faculty of Zoology, CU and affiliated research supervisors for the pursuance of their PhD degree.
Note: Candidates who have qualified M Phil / NET / SET / SLET / Teacher Fellowship do not have to appear for the written examination. However, they should qualify in the interview to secure admission.

The entrance test is scheduled to be held on February 18, 2013.
