Calcutta University has invited applications from well qualified candidates for admission into Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) programme in Russian, to be offered in the ensuing session 2013. Selection of the candidates will be made on the basis of their performance in Research Eligibility Test (RET), followed by interview, to be conducted by the selection committee of the University.
Note: Candidates who have passed M Phil / NET in Russian or any other equivalent examination are exempted from appearing in the RET. However, they have to appear in interview.
Date of Exam
RET is scheduled to be held on May 6, 2013 (from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm)
Interview of selected candidates will be conducted on May 14, 2013(from 3:00 pm onwards)

How to Apply
Interested candidates may download the application form from the official website of the University: http://www.caluniv.ac.in/. In addition, they have to pay an application fee of Rs 100 at the University’s Cash Counter (only). The hard copy of the downloaded form, duly complete in all respects along with the receipt of application fee, should be submitted at the office of the Department of Languages, Calcutta University, Kolkata (West Bengal) - 700 073 , on or before April 26, 2013.
