BITSAT 2011 Scheduled on May 11

Pilani: The Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) will be conducting the BITS Admission Test (BITSAT) 2011 on May 11, 2011. Interested candidates can register for BITSAT 2011 by applying in the prescribed application form available at www.bitsadmission.com.
 
The printout of the filled form along with the prescribed fees of Rs 1500 (Rs1000 for Female candidates) should be sent to BITS Pilani, Rajasthan. The last date for the sale and submission of application forms is January 21, 2011. The entrance test is conducted for admission into the following programmes offered at BITS:
 
1. B.E. Hons: Civil Engineering., Computer Science, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering., Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering., Mechanical Engineering., Manufacturing Engineering.
2. B. Pharma (Hons.)
3. M.Sc. (Hons.): Biological Sciences, Chemistry, Economics, Mathematics, Physics
4. M.Sc. (Tech.): General Studies, Finance, Information Systems
 
To get enroll in any one of the Integrated First Degree Programmes of BITS, the candidate should have passed the 12th class of 10+2 system from a recognized Central or State board or its equivalent with the subjects Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
 
Further, the candidate should have obtained a minimum of 80% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects in class 12 examinations, at least 60% marks in each of the Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics subjects and adequate proficiency in English. However, admissions will be made only on his/her merit position based on the score obtained in BITSAT-2011.
 
In addition, those students who are appearing for class 12 examinations in 2011 or who have passed the class 12 examinations in 2010 are eligible to appear for BITSAT-2011. If a candidate has taken more than one attempt in class 12 or its equivalent, only his latest performance is considered, provided this attempt has been for the full component of subjects/courses prescribed.
