IIT-K Introduce Changes in the Exam System

Indian Institute of Technology – Kanpur (IIT-K) introduce changes in the examination system, onwards this session. Students were intimated regarding the changes made in the examination system on the third day of the orientation programme, which was conducted for new entrants.
 
While addressing orientation programme, IIT-K Director S G Dhande said that the previous system of conducting examinations after every two months in each semester has been eradicated. Instead, two term examinations, one between the semester and other at the end of the semester would be held from this academic session. He mentioned that the change has been introduced considering the fact of growing cases of stress among the students.
 
Sources informed that Dhande made the announcement while addressing nearly 850 undergraduate students. He also stressed on the point that the students should work harder in the direction of conducting research. He said that the research-based studies will help them in excelling.
