IGNOU Offers Food Safety Course

New Delhi: The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) will offer a two-week appreciation course on 'Food Safety and Quality'. The course will be offered with the help of the Quality Council of India (QCI) and the School of Agriculture.
 
According to a University press release on Saturday i.e. on June 12, 2010, about 20 participants from different institutions across the country will attend the course. The classes are likely to commence on June 14-25 at the IGNOU campus. Moreover, the course will include industrial visits.
 

Furthermore, according to the press release the objective is to increase awareness regarding food safety and different national and international food standards. In addition, this would help students to understand the food safety acts, agreements and their implications.
