IGNOU Inks Pact with Indian Navy

New DeIhi: Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Indian Navy. IGNOU has signed the MoU in order to launch a programme under its community college scheme namely 'Sagardeep'.
 
The MoU seeks to award educational certifications to the sailors of Indian Navy with the considerations laid down by IGNOU via its community college scheme recognizing the 'in-service's training/courses undergone by them.
 
As per sources, Prof VN Rajasekharan Pillia, VC, IGNOU and MP Muralidharan, Vice Admiral has signed the MoU at the conference hall, Kota House in the capital. The pact is named 'Sagardeep' because it combines synergies of both institutes.
