IIM-Lucknow to Launch PG Diploma in Sustainable Management

The Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow, will introduce a new postgraduate diploma programme in sustainable management for this year. The two year programme will commence at IIM Lucknow, Noida campus. In the last few decades due to global warming and environmental degradation industry associations have bought the sustainability agenda to the forefront.

Companies are now seeking managers who understand the societal, environmental and business components of sustainability. IIM Lucknow, understanding the need to produce such experts,has taken the initiative to launch a Postgraduate Programme in Sustainable Management(PGPSM) at its Noida campus.

About the Programme

PGPSM is a two year full time residential programme. The programme is designed to help develop management and leadership skills to handle sustainability challenges in an unpredictable environment. The main focus of the programme will be:
• Environmental, Social, and Economic Sustainability
• Change-management preparation
• Critical perspectives on policy and institutions
• Cross-sector collaboration
• Focus on management and policy analysis
• Systemic linkages among environmental, social, and economic issues

Eligibility

Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with at least 50% marks (45% in case of SC/ST/PWD category) or equivalent, with at least two years professional experience.

Admission Process

Application form for PGPSM can be downloaded from http://www.iiml.ac.in/PGPSM_FORM.pdf . The last date for application is Oct 31, 2013. Admission to PGPSM will be done based on Common Admission Test (CAT) score (GMAT score for NRI candidates). Application fee is Rs 500/- (non-refundable) to be paid through demand draft drawn in favour of IIM Lucknow payable at Lucknow.
