Central Board of Secondary Education, popularly known as CBSE, is the supreme Board of Education of India. The jurisdiction of the Board has gone beyond the limits of national geographical boundaries. Apart from all the schools in the National Capital Territory, CBSE has also given recognition to all the schools located in Union Territory of Chandigarh, Andaman & Nicobar Island, Arunachal Pradesh, the state of Sikkim, and now Jharkhand, Uttaranchal and Chhattisgarh too.

Currently, CBSE conducts public examination at the end of Class 10^th and Class 12^th, for its affiliated schools and also publishes the results of the same, at its official website.
